Every legend performed at a top level in a top league

OK, I could of worded it better but I’d say every legend performed at a top level in a top league. Donovan has never done that. Like the best player in a bad league doesn’t make someone a legend, well not outside that country. It’s quite a unique situation with Donovan because his country is so big but I think one day we will see genuine top talent come out of America, its still a really young sport there.

The difference with Pele though was that he played in the Brazilian league, which was the best league in the world at the time because all of the best south american and Brazilian players played and stayed in Brazil. MLS is not one of the best leagues in the world.

pes-2015-fifa-15

Succeeding/flopping in an elite league is a good measure for whether a player is talented or skilled, but not necessarily a good measure for whether a player is “legendary”. Talent/ability is just one aspect of someone being a Legend.

No one is saying that Donovan is one of the best players of all-time, but the argument is that he is so influential in other areas that he has to be considered.

It was a bit of a strange choice by EA but he was the south american player of the year twice (don’t compare this to some tinpot n.American award, footballers were and are infinitely better in s.America) and he played a huge role during the golden era of Colombian football during the 1990s. I’d even go as far to say that valderrama actually did more for the mls than Donovan, helped bring talent to the league by signing up, won the MVP, has the record for most assists in a single season etc.

Showing Pele is just laughable because as camo already pointed out, at the time it was one of the best leagues in the world. I thought everyone knew that.

It’s the main aspect and he is nowhere near the level you need to be, to be considered. It just doesn’t make sense. There’s so many players from so many countries that deserve it as much as him for what they did or achieved on a personal level, for their teams or countries.

Can you post some more players who are 1st in career goals and 1st in career assists, for both their nation and home league? I am genuinely interested to see some of the other names.

You’re clutching at straws anyway mate, its a moot point. I’m not arguing that he was great in the mls and for the national team. I’m arguing if you take his nationality out of the equation and go purely on ability, then noone is talking about him as a legend, not even you.

There’s no argument, we are both in agreement that he did not have the ability/skill to be a top 100 player of all-time (hence giving him an 84 rating in the mock card). My view is that Legends should be considered on a combination of ability, statistics, historical/cultural influence, and fame.

I took “international legend” to mean that fans/critics outside of a player’s home country care about a player. I’d guess that 99% of Sheringham fans live in the UK. I’m totally okay with that, but let’s not pretend that people in North America, Brazil, Africa, etc. really care about Teddy Sheringham.

Hugo Sanchez genuine Real Madrid legend won 5 pichichis had the most goals in a la liga season record until Ronaldo/messi broke it he’s also 3rd all time La Liga scorer shame he’s constantly overlooked maybe because he’s Mexican idk.

Enough lag free games too keep me hooked

So I’m a FIFA fanatic in my late twenties who has been playing FIFA ever since my dad brought how a brand new computer and a FIFA ’97 disk. The first time I played FIFA online was when I bought an XBOX360 and FIFA10. I started playing FUT and was immediatly hooked.

My setup at the time was a cabled connection from my XBOX360 to my router, with my Dutch ISP being Ziggo. I lived in student housing with only 3 other guys who weren’t much into gaming so I was mainly using the internet connection. I did use to get awfull waves of input lag that could last for a week and then vanish in thin air. When gone, I’d really enjoy the game.

fifa-15a

In the following years the problem stayed with me, periods of lag, periods without lag. Enough lag free games too keep me hooked, enough lagging games to keep me frustrated (about 50/50). I tried everything there is exept for switching ISP’s. (wasn’t always in my power to do so.)

A lot of people complain about conceding in the 90th minute which is, in my eyes a combination of accumulated lag and loss of fitness of your players. From around the 70th minute of a game I start to lose the little control I had over the game due to issues mentioned above. The lag always seems to get gradually worse during a match. Loads of times I was ahead two or three goals at halftime, but I still managed to lose.

I’d like to ask everyone that has any information or tips to help me and others eliminate this problem, as it is incredibly frustrating. Also I’d like to ask mods to direct people to this thread for discussions about disadvantages experienced when playing online FIFA.

I experience button lag even when playing offline…. playing online and experiencing any lag makes the game totally unenjoyable for me, so I play mostly “offline” Fut. I still get the “Waves” of input/button lag that makes playing the AI totally frustrating and very difficult to break down – especially on the dribble. It is like I am holding a certain direction after beating a defender (with or without the sprint button) and there is a second delay before my player actually moves… by then the defender slides in to get the ball. Other times… It is like I glide past players and the controller response is immediate. I have my own suspicions, which I will leave out of this thread. I support this thread, OP, and hopefully we can make enough noise to elicit a formal response from the Fifa Team.

To me the lag and problems started about after the bundlesliga tourney. Ever since I can count the lag free games on one hand. It’d just got worse since. I have also had so many disconnects in the last 10 mins of a game it’s silly.

I don’t get whats so crazy about lag? Plenty of other games host has a slight advantage. Cod has always been like this same with holo. 2k servers are probably the worst. Its a known issue if you live east coast and play lol. You are always going to have up and downs.

Also another problem is when testing your connection don’t always pick the closest server. My 9 ping turns to 100 when testing west coast and 120 when playing uk. You know someone with a bad connection is going to be much higher dragging the game down.

I know you don’t want to hear it, but it’s the game. It’s most likely coded into the game so that every body can get wins. If the casual or no skill players couldn’t win matches, they would quit the game. Quitting the game equates to less money for EA. It really is that simp.

FIFA 17 | TOP 10 BEST GOALS

Is it just me or is it a lot harder to score 1 on 1s now? Ive been playing the demo and it’s hard as fuck! The 1 on 1s Ive missed on fifa 17 would have easily been put away on Fifa 16.

Foschiani I said this video was pathetic because the difficulty is clearly very low. If someone wants to claim they’ve scored the ‘best’ goals in FIFA, they should at least up the difficulty level. I’ve seen many better goals on FIFA with a much higher difficulty level where the defenders are actually attempting to defend, not run backwards away from the attacker.

It’sobvious that for scoring long distance goals like this Thé IA computer bas been weakened ans IA player bas been strenghted not any performance at all un thèse goals..

The 4-1-4-1 formation is one of the best formations in FIFA Ultimate Team 15

The 4-1-4-1 formation is one of the best formations in FIFA Ultimate Team 15 to dominate possession and create chances. I used 4-1-4-1 from division 10 to division 1 Online Seasons, winning the title in each season. After reaching division 1, I was trying out all the other formations but always kept going back to 4-1-4-1. In this guide, I will explain how to set up the team and how to attack and defend in 4-1-4-1. Please note that everything written in this guide is based on my opinion and my style of play.

The 4-1-4-1 formation is a recently developed variation of either the 4-3-3 or the 4-2-3-1. Spain used the formation in Euro 2008 final against Germany with great success. The presence of Marcos Senna as a lone defensive midfielder allowed the midfield of Iniesta, Xavi, Fàbregas and Silva to roam inside out and cause problems to the opposition. After the World Cup 2010, Joachim Löw also experimented with the formation himself with some success. When Bayern Munich announced that Pep Guardiola would take over the club, I was very excited to see what kind of system he would implement within the team that previously won the treble. He introduced the new 4-1-4-1 formation, utilizing Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger or sometimes Thiago Alcântara as the holding midfielder. This coincided with FIFA Ultimate Team introducing new formations including the 4-1-4-1 and I had to try it out. It was one of my favorite formations in FIFA 14 and now that we can use instructions in FIFA 15, 4-1-4-1 has become my favorite formation.

614-3

The 4-1-4-1 is one of the best, if not the best, formations to maintain possession in the opponent’s half. The dominating presence of the midfield triangle between the lone holding midfielder and the two central midfielders means there is always a midfielder available for pass. The striker will also join the central midfielders during the buildup phase while the wide players make diagonal runs behind the defensive line.

4-1-4-1 also gives the option for more players to get into dangerous attacking positions and overload the opposition’s penalty area. This means the goals will be scored not only by the striker but also the wingers and the central midfielders. In fact, my wingers score more goals than my striker in 4-1-4-1.

Finally, 4-1-4-1 is a very flexible formation. The team shape can be changed easily to 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 by using different work rates and instructions. However, in this guide, the attacking shape of 4-1-4-1 will be similar to 4-3-3 (5) False 9 formation because that’s what I find to work the best for me.

Just like any other possession heavy formations, one of the main weaknesses of the 4-1-4-1 is that it can be prone to quick counter attacks. This is due to having only one defensive midfielder and in FIFA 15, defensive midfielders often fancy themselves playing as shadow strikers. Therefore, the positioning of the lone holding midfielder is very important both in attack and defense.

The formation also requires you to build up patiently. If you rush into attacks, the lone striker will often become isolated and lose the ball under the pressure from the opponent’s center backs and defensive midfielders. When the lone striker receives the ball, the attacking midfielders should be higher up the pitch so that the striker can link up play with them.

In this section, I will explain the role of each position in the 4-1-4-1 formation and which players suit the best for those particular roles. Note that I only recommended the players that I have tried myself.

First off, choosing your goalkeeper obviously doesn’t depend on the formation. You can just pick your favorite goalkeeper that you’ve tried and tested. I prefer my goalkeepers to have GK Long Thrower trait and decent kicking because I always build up slowly from the back and my GK needs to be able to play the ball safely to one of the defenders. Other than that, all the keepers in FIFA 15 are prone to ridiculous errors, so don’t spend too much of your budget on the GK.

Again, your choice of central defenders isn’t different from other 4atb formations. Tall and Strong center backs with at least one fast defender will do the job. Usually, I pair up a fast M/H defender with another M/M or H/M defender. That way, the M/M or H/M defender push high up to put pressure on the opponent’s player on the ball or even win it back, while the M/H pacey defender tracks the run of the opponent’s striker. This year, I don’t find H/M defenders to be as much a problem as in FIFA 14. They don’t bomb forward to join the attack unless you instruct them to or use L1+X with them. Having good dribbling and passing stats is a plus for the central defenders but not necessary.

FIFA 17 FAIL Compilation

Not sure whats worse, that after 50 EA football games they still suck at it, that somehow they can make 50 games out of a single sport to begin with, or that after 50 games, people still buy the same fucking game, every single fucking year and spend their money on the same game with slightly different graphics and an updated playerlist and somehow still get excited over this.
You could just update the playerlist in small patch each year and you’d have the same effect.

I dont get you assholes. When there are glitches of any other game you fuckers dont give a shit but when its Fifa you say they didnt put any effort in the game and its nothing but a money scam. Shut the fuck up mother fuckers I’ve been playing fifa since fifa 14 and I have never seen a glitch in my game they are extremely rare and if you played fifa you would know that. So fuck off you twats.

Ea should do like a my career and make your own personal character and scan your face to be you in the game with an app that will help your do that like if you agree this is for FIFA

I’m not claiming it to be brilliant, but I have an FUT seasons series that is in for the long haul. Featuring every match from Division 10 onwards, and never spending real money on packs. Its in its early stages but I have record hundreds of hours of material and looking to improve all the time, with hopefully your support and suggestions.

hi please can we do not know the status of my life and that I have a nice day and night at the end result is that it is a very long as you can do it for you have to be a bit more time and consideration of my life with you to the right direction to the inbox to be a good idea for your.

It doesnt show in the normal player lineup

You can change as much as you want between now and the games on Saturday. You can have a max of 3 from a team. Personally, I like to have 1 bench player I could play in a pinch, and I generally go for low cost options for the others.

The big thing with your bench is having capable options when your starters have poor matchups, or players that can substitute in should your “starter” not truly start. If players in your lineup don’t start they will be subbed for your bench players in the order selected. Some people like loading up and having a thin bench, whereas some prefer some decent bench options.

cus1476282208

One of your first teamers might get injured or suspended for a week and they’ll get automatically put in if you don’t change them. So put who you think is your best sub as first sub (next to the goalkeeper on the bench).

There is no myth, he’s a very talented English striker. It’s quite hypocritical to take jabs at Chelsea fans for hyping up Ruben when all you ever see is UTD and Pool fans blowing their load over young players.

The people that will be top after the weekend wont be because of the obvious players. It’ll be because some randoms scored when nobody expects it. They were just in the team because you ran out of money lol.

Anywhere between 40 – 50 is usually a pretty decent score as an average, but won’t happen every week. You’ll have good weeks and bad weeks, you will learn the average amount of points people earn over the first couple of game weeks.

I didn’t threat you…you threatened me bud. The fact you’ve been on this forum for as long as you have and don’t know anything about me is slightly odd. Most people know how old I am…etc etc etc. Judging by your frustration at all times with this game or your kids…Im guessing me saying you have a temper is not out of line.

No. It doesnt show in the normal player lineup…scroll down and click the fixture. . It will expand and say who scored etc…then below that is says bonus points system and lists 4 to 6 players who have some amount of bonus points…what is that?

I’m on 19 points atm thx to making Mahrez captain. I forgot to check the game for about a week and left butland,Coleman and lukaku in which has screwed me lol. I have bellerin, martial,Costa and Wilson left hopefully they get me something.

Was originally counting on them to get the cleansheet bonus very often, given Conte and his play-style (that way the price to point ratio would be great). But, as you haven’t signed a new CB and/or RB, things don’t look so good.

FIFA 17 – The Journey – Official Trailer

Powered by Frostbite, The Journey is a new mode in FIFA 17. Make your mark on and off the pitch as the Premier League’s next rising star, Alex Hunter. Play at any Premier League club, for authentic managers, and alongside some of the best players on the planet.

I wish Fifa games would let you choose the Goalies jersey to not just the 10 outfield players jersey and like cuz Fifa 17 had the Journey with Alex Hunter in the next Fifa Fifa 18 Should they have a Referee career mode like you creating your own Referee of course and starting off Refereeing a kids league and then you Refereeing in any league you want in the world and eventually you getting the chance to Referee in a World Cup or would a Referee Career mode in Fifa be too boring?

next year hopefully you can create your own journey. (like what area you live in and play as a kid for a little bit and maybe make decisions outside of the pitch like parties, women and buying houses and cars.

So you can’t play as a white kid? And you have to play at Manchester United? So this is racist!!! And you have to play for a scrum team, sorry fifa but I’m not buying fifa 17, pro evo for me this year, what a disgrace!

All four of their starting defenders played in the knockout stages of the Euros

fifa-15-07-700x393

I’d like to see who else Burnley sign, mostly in midfield, before putting any stock into them. That said, he could be similar to Ings of two years ago. Ings and Austin were two incredibly good value strikers as they grabbed all of the goals in two failing sides.

I wonder if they’ll stick to 4-4-2 with Vokes and Gray like they did in the Championship, cause it seems Gray thrived off playing with another man up top.

This is where I’m at so far. I defiantly want the starting Saints striker, whether it’s Long/Austin whoever, 6.5 is great value. Not really sure what 5.5 mid to go for, have Fischer there at the minute but Tore or Feghouli could be a decent shout but it depends which gets the starting role.

I updated my draft. It appears Stoke are a bit of a forgotten team, but having looked at their squad, pretty much all of their players are cheap. Apparently they’ve bid £20m on Berahino, and while I don’t necessarily think he’s worth the coin, they really lacked a striker last season. For now I’ve put Bojan in as a placeholder. I’d love to keep Eriksen but I’m not sure how Spurs will fair early on.

I’m pretty tempted to use Jakupovic as well, the points difference to Heaton should be pretty minimal initially but it gives me that little extra cash to get into the Chelsea defence. Berahino is one to watch for me, could do well at Stoke. I like the Lukaku pick, think Everton will do well under Koeman, there fixtures are very good initially bar the Spurs game.

Mmm Koeman the snake. Sad as it is to say, I also think they’ll do well, and they haven’t actually signed anyone yet so Lukaku is still their main source of goals (and it isn’t even close).

I’d argue Spurs at home isn’t a terrible game. All four of their starting defenders played in the knockout stages of the Euros…and that was off the back of Spurs’ 2013901238129038912 game season last year. If Everton can grab someone like Mata or a non-fraud winger then I’m sold.

Initially I really wanted another £4.5m keeper + Hull’s Robertson who I rate as a player, but for now I think it’s sensible to take Jakupovic + a different £4.5m defender in order to save £0.5m for elsewhere (for example, the quality of forwards below £6.5m really drops off).

Yeah, I’m not saying the Spurs game is terrible just one of the harder games you could start with although the point about the Euro’s could play a part. There fixtures beyond that; West Brom, Stoke, Sunderland, Boro, Bournemouth and Palace are hard to look by, you’d expect goals.

Mata would be a good way to save cash if he does go to Everton, 7.5 is good value. I like Tadic’s prospects as well but I’m not feeling a double up in attack, especially with the new manager, just yet.

At 5.5 the options I can see are Fischer, Gradel/Ibe and Tore/Feghouli. The West Ham one I’m interested in as its a cheap way to get into there team especially with Payets price and the lack of a top tier striker. Carroll did decent for them towards the end of last season but I don’t think I’d trust him all the time.

It’s definitely worth looking into a United defender

fifa

It’s definitely worth looking into a United defender, given Mourinho has taken charge. Even under van Gaal they had a very good defensive record. However, it’s hard to say who will start. The safe bet is Shaw, he gives you assist potential and with that, bonus points potential for 1-0 wins.

As for Fonte, I’d wait to see how Southampton are under Puel – they got off to a terribad start last year, conceding 5 to Newcastle and Everton alone (that Everton game was a massacre). If you really want a Southampton defender, van Dijk is a higher goal threat for the same price.

Slightly biased but I think Austin or Long will be good value strikers at £6.5m (we’ll have to wait and see which one starts, Austin’s not played in 2016 due to injury).

In terms of premium strikers, Agüero is a must, much like the past two seasons (50 goals in 63 league appearances in that time). I wouldn’t even say he was that consistent in 2015/16, there were times where he went 3/4/5 games without scoring which isn’t ideal for the most expensive player in FPL. However, it’s always risky to not captain (let alone not pick) Agüero when City play against bottom half teams…I found this out the hard way by captaining Payet instead of Agüero when he notched 5 against Newcastle last season.

Finally sat down and spent a bit of time picking a first draft. I’m a little concerned about Spurs’ early fixtures and how they’ll perform given how many of their players went to the Euros…maybe I’ll switch Eriksen out for Firmino and then replace Sturridge with a different premium striker.

The problem, or at least my thought process in this situation was the fact that Bournemouth play attacking football – I have no idea how Southampton are going to shape up under Puel, both attacking wise and defensively.

That said, Wilson is more of a placeholder for a value rotation striker. 3-4-3 is generally my preferred formation, but after last season where there were very few consistent strikers and the abysmal Euros, I’m open to playing more defenders on a regular basis. Obviously we’ll have to see how the season pans out.

I’d like to see who else Burnley sign, mostly in midfield, before putting any stock into them. That said, he could be similar to Ings of two years ago. Ings and Austin were two incredibly good value strikers as they grabbed all of the goals in two failing sides.
